Meet the Chiropractors

Dominic Metcalfe founded The Chiropractic Clinic in New Malden in 1982 after graduating from the prestigious Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth.  The clinic moved to its present site in 1998 and has now expanded with the addition of two other chiropractors.

Dominic’s interest in Chiropractic was sparked by a severe injury to his neck whilst playing rugby at school which was successfully treated by a chiropractor who persuaded him to alter course and become one himself.

Dominic uses a range of techniques to treat patients of all ages maintaining and enhancing his knowledge through Continuing Professional Development.

Anthony Metcalfe also graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic and joined Dominic in 2005 to help expand the New Malden clinic.

He has set up and run a large multi-disciplinary clinic in Teddington where he continues to work two days each week.

Tony’s interest in Chiropractic started when he was first treated by a chiropractor at the age of eight.

His enthusiasm for the profession has led him to attend conferences to enhance his knowledge of treatment methods around the world and he has, in his spare time, held many posts within the profession including serving as President of the European Chiropractors Union, the World Federation of Chiropractic and the British Chiropractic Association.

Tony Kerrigan is the third chiropractor at the New Malden clinic. He is a graduate of the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. He practised from his own clinics in Weybridge and in Wimbledon for fourteen years until in 2006, he amalgamated his Wimbledon clinic with the New Malden clinic.

Chiropractic is Tony’s second career. His first was in industry, originally as an economist and latterly as Finance Director of a public group of companies. In his late thirties he decided to change career and started  four years of full-time study for his Chiropractic degree.

Tony had major spinal surgery in 1977 aged 27; surgery which he feels may well have been avoidable had he known of Chiropractic at that time. That experience sparked the beginning of his interest in spines, back and neck pain and their treatment
